Delectable Menu Wows Residents

Shady Oaks culinary staff recently treated residents to a favorite lunch item – homemade pizza! Cook Deb H. used her culinary magic to create four supreme and three hamburger pizzas. The supreme pizzas contained hamburger, red peppers, onion, mushrooms, and two types of cheese. Minnie Huster, Culinary Manager, explained, “We value the joy that a good meal brings. Every day our culinary staff makes sure that the meals we serve are the best possible dining experience for each of our residents. For this special meal featuring pizza, we prepared deviled eggs (which are always a favorite), sweet and sour cucumbers and onions, and a rich and creamy Oreo dessert to compliment the savory pizza.” The menu was indeed a hit, as multiple requests to feature homemade pizza again were immediate. Resident Gerald D. summed  it up pretty well, “That pizza was delicious! Everything about the meal hit the spot! Let’s do it again!”
